I use The Sims 2 with University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time and Apartment Life expansion packs (EP).
What editor do you use?
I use Sony Vegas 7
Do you take movie request?
No, I’m sorry. Currently I can’t take any request because I already have a list of songs that I want to make into videos. Though, I do take suggestions.
Can I upload your movies elsewhere?
No I do not allow that. However you are allowed to embed my YouTube videos on your site/MySpace/etc. as long as you credit me.
Cheat List
To open up the cheat box press CTRL+SHIFT+C. The box will come out across the top of the screen. Type in the cheat code and enter. Types expand to expand/contract cheat box and exit to exit cheat box. The use of capitalization will not effect the cheats.

Movie Making Cheats
Plumbbobtoggle
Eliminates the plumbbob, which is the green diamond above the Sims head

Eliminates the speech bubbles and relationship points
slowMotion [0-10]
Slows down the game speed with 0 being normal speed and 10 being the slowest speed. Please note the cheat only slows down the game play and not in the playback of recorded clips.
AllMenus [on/off]
Makes rare interactions available. Please refer to JD Movies tutorial on how to activate the option.

Allows you to control pets’ behavior to a certain degree

Movie Making
How do you make a Sims movie?
The Sims 2 has a built in camera in game. All you have to do is manipulate the sims and record it. Below are the keys for recording:
V start recording/ stop recording
P pause the game
B pause the camera
How do you get good angles and close ups?
When filming, make sure you use the Cameraman’s Mode. To get into Cameraman’s Mode, press TAB. Use the keys below to maneuver the camera:
A left
D right
W forward
S backward
Q up
E down
Mouse controls the degree of angle
The clips I recorded came out blurry and with sound. What should I do?
Make sure you maximize all the graphic options in the game and disable the sound.
How do you make the sims behave the way you want them to?
First of all, make sure you turn Free Will off. That way they won’t go wondering off to do their own thing. Next is to find the best hacks that provide animations on command. Each hack provides various animations, so all you have to do is test each one to find the best animation for the particular scene.

How do you make the sets look realistic?
Indoor Sets
When building a set, make sure you keep the image of the real location in mind. For example when building a room, don’t make it too big. Make it just enough space for the furniture to fit in and for the sims to move around without obstructions. Make sure you add the ceiling tile. If you have Apartment Life EP, it will be automatically added when you add floor covers on the floor above. The next step is to decorate the space. Add paintings, flowers/vases, curtains and clutters that are appropriate to the function/theme of the location. Of course, don’t forget to paint your walls and floors.
If you’re building public spaces , make sure you add extras when filming. For example, for a club scene, make sure you make the DJ visible and have plenty of sims dancing and drinking around.
Neighborhood
Decorate your neighborhood according to the sets. For an urban/downtown set, add commercial like buildings. For a house set, add other houses with tress around the main set.
Basic Filming How-To
How do I make the Sims walk instead of run?
If you command Sims to walk a far distance, they will run instead of walk normally. To make them walk long distance, place an object at the walk path final destination and ask the Sims to view the object. You can use decorative object, invisible object or hide the object behind something like a wall.
How can I film a car scene without having to leave the lot I’m playing?
Instead of Drive To (location) option, choose Take A Spin instead. That way, the car will move out of the driveway and when it disappears you still remain on the lot. However, you can only have one Sims take a spin without any passenger.
How to make the Sims perform eye movements?
First you need to freeze the Sims body by using any overlay poses hack (such as the Model Poses Hack). Then you just have to combine it with various animations (from animation boxes or talk hacks) to find the movements that suitable for the scene. As a basic guide the more animated the action, the more movements the eye will make.
